Calling all future Prima Ballerinas!

Perfect as a gift for a ballerina in the making or a little girl who loves to dress-up.

We have the prettiest tutus packaged in a stripy, circusy 'Pierrot et Coco' box to fit ages 1-5 in the most gorgeous shades of sapphire blue, apple green, cerise pink, powder pink, sunshine yellow, chocolate brown and aqua.

Only £25 and sure to make any little girl squeal with delight! We don't have space to display them all, so please ask if you would like to see any colours we don't have out. One little girl left the shop today wearing hers with stripy tights and mac - three year olds never let the rain stop them from doing what they want!

Lip Tease

We've been thoroughly impressed by the good taste of our customers over the last few days. Depsite many other shops being filled with all things pink, furry and heart shaped, the fine ladies and men who have shopped with us have made impeccable choices for their other halves for Valentine's Day and the gifts will seem well considered and hopefully very well received.

For any men hoping to catch a last minute gift before seeing their loved one this evening, we have a perfect choice which is stylish, practical and will make the right impression.

The Reiko Kaneko fine bone china cup and saucer set or delicate mug comes with a platinum "lip stain" so if you're not intending to offer anything else in platinum this Feb 14th at least you're still giving something pretty luxurious!

We are the exclusive Scottish stockist of these beautiful pieces, shortlisted for the Elle Deco UK design of the year.

No need to worry about the gift wrap either, we will of course package this up in a our special white box-bag which she will be almost as thrilled to receive as the contents themselves...and for anyone buying the Reiko Kaneko today we'll also pop in a free white chocolate matching lollipop as even the most chic like a sweet treat.

Reiko Kaneko platinum "Lip Tease" cup and saucer £30 and mug £15

This is...

We're happy to have the range of M.Sasek books back again after they sold out before Christmas.

Although intended as destination books for children, we know many adults who are happy to have these on their bookshelf because they perfectly capture the 50's/60's in a charming way.

Written and illustrated by Miroslav Sasek in the late 50's, these hardback books are a delight to read and use as a guide book with a child. The illustrations are good enough to frame and and the text is playful and witty.

We have "This is London", "This is Paris", "This is Edinburgh", "This is Great Britain", "This is New York" and "This is the Way to the Moon".

All the images below are from my favourite - "This is Paris", showing a Parisian bus stop, letter box, the Sacre Coeur with a nun and a street artist.

Brightens up the bills

This little stamp came on an invoice from a Danish brand we stock in the shop. I don't know who this little character is but she brightened up the envelope and almost took the sting out of having to pay a bill!

Jeeves & Wooster

We're asked several times a day in the shop if the lights, the furniture and a lot of the display pieces are for sale. Generally, they're not - but as everyone loves the lights we have at the window, we now have the Jeeves & Wooster bowler hat and top hat lights for sale - already boxed and ready to take home.

The very stylish hat lights by London based designer, Jake Phipps, created after an installation for Kris Van Assche's catwalk show were launched in Milan and can now be found in all the most chic establishments (ours included of course!) such as Mama Shelter in Paris and Harvey Nichols menswear department.

They are made from 100% wool with gold or silver anodised aluminium linings and come with 1.5m of black flex and ceiling cup.

Jake Phipps Jeeves Hat Light - £150
Jake Phipps Wooster Top Hat Light - £170
Used within the interior and for sale @ Pierrot et Coco, Glasgow.

Prince Vladimir shortbread FREE!

As the rain and wind begin to whip up a storm, we've got a little offer to thank you for braving the elements to come out shopping.

We've got a few boxes of Kusmi's special "Prince Vladimir" shortbread tea biscuits left...and to clear a little space on our counter for some new chocolate arrivals, we'd love to offer a box free of charge to anyone spending £50 and over (until stocks last)

We've tasted these little treats and they're soft and crumbly and perfect for tea. Not available anywhere else in Scotland, they go especially well with the Prince Vladmir tea (in its limited edition Russian logo tins) and both together (wrapped in one of our white gift box bags) would make such a well considered gift for a man who appreciates a good cuppa. Of course, we have a whole selection of beautifully packaged teas such as Lapsang, Rooibos, cinnamon and some more exotic blends which we'll happily let you sample at home.

So if you dare brave the wind and rain to spend £50 or more on any item(s) we'll pop a box of 16 of these rather exclusive little biscuits in for free (normally £6.50)
